Job Description

The aim of this position is to support the production facility, improve efficiency through developing better processes and technology and be proactive in identifying areas for improvement.​  As a member of the Engineering team you will work within the Group Production Process (GPP) and the Group Innovation Process (GIP).​

The Production Engineer will be responsible for the design of new equipment, processes or technology to yield cost effective improvements in efficiency.​ Supporting the engineering maintenance team in day-to-day support where necessary and sharing knowledge with the manufacturing team leaders in the process.  You will be able to expected to manage your projects with agreed deadlines for completion and report on progress periodically.​

You will have a Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years work experience.

Knowledge and experience of mechanical test hardware and tools such as root cause analysis, problem solving, line balancing, poka yoke, etc will be extremely useful.​

Experience of manufacturing, press & paint /​ assembly processes together with experience in producing FMEA’s, test planning and “repeatability reliability studies” would be advantageous.

You will be asked to produce innovative solutions to various problems and undertake specific projects by yourself and as part of the engineering team.​

You will have strong communication skills in a range of different medias, be comfortable presenting findings and solutions to senior management teams, be able to liaise with all areas of the business, understand problems fully and co-operate with colleagues to facilitate optimum solutions in a timely and cost efficient way.​
